Hara Hara Mahadevaki Review

Director : Santhosh P Jayakumar
Star Cast : Gautham Karthik, Nikki Galrani

ara Hara Mahadevaki  is yet another adult comedy which is purely aimed at youngsters. Debutant director Santhosh P Jayakumar has basically tried to cash in on the popular WhatsApp adult comedian's voice with the tried and tested 'comedy of errors' formula which was seen in umpteen Priyadarshan comedies in Malayalam

A young couple (Gautham Karthik and Nikki Galrani) decide to breakup by returning back the gifts they bought each other when they were madly in love and the meeting is all set to happen in a resort named Hara Hara Mahadevaki. The gifts are packed in a free bag given by a political party.

Meanwhile, a politician (Ravi Mariya) hires two henchmen(Rajendran and Karunakaran)  to fix a bomb in a gathering to gain sympathy votes and coincidentally, the bomb is kept in the similar free bag given by the political party. Then there is a criminal who kidnaps a child and blackmails the parents. The ransom money is kept in another free bag of the same political party. We also have a guy who wants to exchange One Crore counterfeit currency notes (Balasaravanan) kept in a similar bag. All of them meet at the Hara Hara Mahadevaki resort as their bags get exchanged. So will they get back their bags? What happened to the bomb?

Director Santhosh P Jayakumar 's adult comedy works  but the normal comedy scenes fall flat. The film' s biggest strength is the 'Hara Hara Mahadevaki' voice whenever the narrative voice is played, youngsters get excited. In short, more than the script writing, what works in favor of the film is the packaging.

Gautham Karthik is comfortable as the happy go lucky guy, Nikki Galrani looks pretty and delivers what is required for her character. Though at many places, Rajendran and Karunakaran pair irritates while Sathish with his trademark  comic one liners scores.

On the downside, the film's core plot and backstory are not new to Tamil cinema, so we can easily guess what would be the next scene.

Overall, Hara Hara Mahadevaki can be enjoyed if you opt for some fun with a bunch of young friends. But if you look out for quality comedy, you might only come out
disappointed.
