Sollividava Review

Star Cast : Chandan, Aishwarya, Suhasini, Viswanath, Sathish
Director : Arjun Sarja

'Action King' Arjun is back with his directorial film 'Sollividava'. As usual, Arjun has used patriotism and romance to showcase the talent of his daughter Aishwarya.

Sanjay (Chandan) and Madhu (Aishwarya) are journalists who are working in two rival TV networks, they go to Kargil to report on the war proceeding in 1999. In the process, Sanjay and Madhu get to know each other, Arjun has also used array of scenes to glorify Indian Army.

Arjun has got an interesting story line and the opening action sequence featuring actor Chandan is easily one of the choreographed stunt scenes in Tamil cinema. Arjun's daughter Aishwarya also excels in dance and delivering lengthy dialogues but however, the inconsistent screenplay flow tests our patience.

The story line demands a realistic execution but Arjun prefers to play it to the gallery, which is the film's biggest drawback. Songs are unnecessary for the film's genre and instead, Arjun could've concentrate more in registering the war portions.

Another major problem with Sollividava is that it doesn't have the finesse of today's Tamil cinema. Though the film has Sathish, Yogi Babu and Rajendran, comedy is unimpressive and talented actors like Suhasini and K Viswanath couldn't contribute much.

To conclude, Sollividava has an interesting idea but the overall product is not up to the mark.
