Director Vignesh Karthick's Thittam Irandu is a fairly engaging mystery thriller that is worth watching for the shocking reveal in the climax.

Aathira (Aishwarya Rajesh) is a young cop who is not rough and tough like the usual female cops we see in films. She has her share of feminine qualities and would like to fall in love someday. On her journey to Chennai from her hometown, she meets an aspiring actor Arjun (Subash Selvam), they eventually have a liking for each other and slowly fall in love. As their bond gets stronger, Aathira gets to know that her childhood friend Deepa Surya(Ananya Ram Prasad) goes missing. Initially, Aathira thinks that a rogue from her college days kidnapped and killed her but what happens next is beyond her wild imagination.

The first half of the film mostly moves at a slow pace as the director takes his time to establish the main characters and their conflicts. The usual trope like making the audience believe that an unknown person would be the killer and then, unwinding the major twist in the later stage is here but the positive aspect about the film is, the unpredictable climax twist.

Aishwarya Rajesh is sincere and her measured performance works in favor of Thittam Irandu. But the needless English usage for a medium-rank police officer could've been avoided, the high-class life also looks odd and the voice-over romance is in Gautham Menon-ish zone.

Subash Selvam looks convincing as the charming lover boy, he would get more offers in the coming days. After Aadai, Ananya Ramprasad gets yet another surprising characterization, the rest of the cast and crew are just okay.

Gokul Benoy's cinematography and Satish Raghunathan's music are perfect for a thriller. Director Vignesh Karthick efficiently used the formula of a thriller in Thittam Irandu with minor hiccups here and there.

On the whole, Thittam Irandu is worth watching in this lockdown as Plan B will surprise you in the end.
