Gemini Ganeshanum Suruli Raajanum Review

Star Cast : Atharvaa,Soori,Aishwarya, Regina,Pranitha
Director : Odam Ilavarasu

Gemini Ganesanum Suruli Rajanum named after the greatest lover on Tamil screen and a popular comedian has title value but is a tedious watch. The film is about a guy, Gemini Ganesan (Atharva Murali) a modern day ‘Kathal Mannan’ and his flings during his school and college days.

The film begins with Gemini Ganesan in Madurai trying to track down his ex-lovers and inviting them for his wedding! He meets a local guy a comic character Suruli Rajan (Soori) and together they try to trace the girls which is told through a flashback.

The film is basically a regressive anti-women modern day version of Cheran classic Autograph. The film tries to be a rom-com but ends up as a half baked low-brow crass comedy, which beyond a point is tiresome.  Imman’s music is the only silver lining in the film, though their placement comes as speed breaker.

Gemini Ganesan’s love interest  Lavanya (Regina Cassandra) Devi (Aaditi), Priya (Pranitha) and Pooja (Aishwarya Rajesh) are all interesting characters, but debutant director’s script let them down. The suspense and twist, which of the four girls he will marry can be guessed by the audiences easily. There are no twists or turns with a predictable climax, with hero saying that his further love escapades will be told in a sequel!
