Sivakumarin Sabadham  Review

Star Cast : Hiphop Tamizha Adhi, Madhuri, Rahul, Kathir
Director : Hiphop Tamizha Adhi

Hiphop Tamizha Adhi’s Sivakumarin Sabadham is a commercial family entertainer that is all about a guy who fulfills his grandad’s promise.

Sivakumar (Hiphop Tamizha Adhi) is a happy-go-lucky youngster in Kancheepuram. As a child, Sivakumar stays with his grandad while the latter’s late-born son Murugan (Prankster Rahul) moves to Chennai with Siva’s parents. Years later, Murugan is the son-in-law of a wealthy textile shop owner whereas Siva is yet to settle in life. The rest of the film is all about how Siva comes up in life and how Murugan’s own father-in-law disowns him…

The first half of the film is more of a generic youthful entertainer with colorful romance, songs, comedy, and family sentiment. Only the second half gets more into a serious zone with Sivakumar starts working towards his goal and takes up his grandad’s silk weaving business and tastes the success in the end.

Hiphop Tamizha Adhi looks super energetic, he has improved a lot in dance, comedy, and emotional scenes. Adhi’s sidekick Kathir evokes constant laughter throughout the film. Prankster Rahul, who is popular among today’s youngsters exhibited an over-the-top performance. Madhuri, the debutante who paired opposite Adhi looks like Samantha and delivered an okayish performance.

Besides playing the lead role, Adhi has also directed the film. Just like his first three films, Sivakumarin Sabadham is also aimed at youngsters but as the second half progresses, the film also tries to offer something for the family audiences.

Technically, Adhi’s music is for the current generation and it sounds peppy and loud while the cinematography and editing are adequate.

To conclude, Sivakumarin Sabadham is a watchable entertainer with enough dose of action, romance, comedy, and sentiment.
