It’s said that some products are more useful than other ones: they contain more vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Such products are called superfoods. For example, blueberry, avocado, Chia seeds, salmon, spirulina, and so on.

We at Bright Side decided to figure out whether or not ordinary products such as garlic, tomatoes, and coconuts are good for women’s health. We gathered a list of 8 products for women’s health that may even be better than the most popular superfoods!

8. Garlic is good for our heart and bones.

6 cloves of garlic contain 17% of vitamin B6 and 23% of manganese of the daily value.

For effective workouts: Garlic reduces strain on the heart and helps it deal with demanding workouts.

For healthy bones: The estrogen level decreases after menopause, that’s why bones become weaker. A half of a raw garlic clove (2 g) will protect you from osteoporosis.

7. Beef helps cope with symptoms of premenstrual syndrome and protects from anemia.
