Nimir (lit. Arise) is a 2018 Indian Tamil-language comedy-drama film directed by Priyadarshan and starring Udhayanidhi Stalin, Namitha Pramod, and Parvatii Nair. It is a remake of the 2016 Malayalam-language film Maheshinte Prathikaaram, with changes made to the screenplay to suit the cultural and regional tastes of Tamil audiences. The film was released on 26 January 2018.

A single mother changes her opinion about getting married again after meeting a single man and discovering that both of them have a similar past concerning their spouses.

Rhythm is reminiscent of yesteryear's tamil movies of the 1980s which touched on subjects like marital ,divorce, death and hope. Real life, real people and real events. ALso in the mix are themes like strict culturalism and traditions of India that are still continuing in their modern society.

Rhythm won Shivakumar the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Audiographer, while Meena picked up Best Actress at the Cinema Express Awards. The film was dubbed and released in Telugu under the same title in September 2000 with Sri Rama Krishna writing the dialogues and N. V. Prasad producing the film.

The soundtrack features five songs composed by A. R. Rahman, with lyrics by Vairamuthu. The song titles and lyrics were inspired by the five elements. The songs represent the five elements of (Kaatre En Vasal) - wind, (Nadhiye Nadhiye ) - water, (Ayyo Pathikichu) - fire, (Anbae Idhu) - sky and (Taniye Tananthaniye) - Earth.
