Chennayil Oru Naal-2 Review

Star Cast : Sarathkumar, Suhasini, Napolean
Director : JPR

As the title hints, Chennayil Oru Naal 2 is all about an IPS officer (Sarathkumar), who transferred to Coimbatore and how he solves a mysterious case with series of events happening in a day.mily.

The film indeed begins well with an intriguing poster pasted across Coimbatore city with a caption - ‘When will Angel die? Today or tomorrow?’ and as an audience, we expect an intelligent whodunit thriller but what we finally got is an amateurish film filled with predictable twists and moves at a snail pace. Even for a film with a run-time 142 minutes, Chennayil Oru Naal 2 fails to engage us and nothing really worked.

Sarathkumar is the only saving grace of Chennayil Oru Naal 2, he looks perfect as a stylish police officer and the actor is the main reason to watch the film until the end. Munishkanth, who brought the roof down with his performance in films like Maanagaram and Margadha Naanayam fails to impress. Napolean and Suhasini are just okay in their brief roles.

The film would have been perfect as a short TV serial because watching such a contrived investigative thriller on big screen turns out to be a tedious process.
