Good Show by Tamil cinema at National Awards



It was a good show by Tamil cinema at the National Film Awards. Tamil cinema bagged five awards at the prestigious 61st National Film Awards announced today (April 16).

Thangameengal directed by Ram got three awards - best film in Tamil, best lyric writer Na Muthukumar for the song “Anandha Yaazha” and best child artist Sadhana.

Vallinam got the best editor for Sabu Joseph while the Nargis Dutt Award for Best feature film on National Integration went to late Balu Mahendra’s Thalaimuraigal, which was produced by actor and director M Sasikumar.
