Katham Katham Movie Review

Director: Babu Thooyavan
Cast: Natraj, Nandha, Sanam Shetty, Sharika
Music: Taj Noor

A corrupt police inspector Pandia (Natraj) and upright sub inspector Nandha (Nandha) are at logger heads, the former always dominates the latter as he is the superior officer.

At one point of time, Natraj turns honest and even files a case against the son of the most powerful politician in the town Periyanna. But sadly Nandha still believes that Natraj is corrupt and suspects him in the murder of another cop friend.

Mean time, due to the earlier ego clash Nandha becomes Periyanna's right hand and sketches a plan to encounter Natraj and what follows is a decade old cliched climax.

Wonder what made the director to choose such an uninteresting story-line with pedestrian sensibilities? Forget the story-line, as most of our films don't have one but what makes it worse is there are no proper dialogues, screenplay, acting and all we see is array of scenes with dramatic dialogues, skin show and loud background altogether making it a damp squib.

Natraj has done a decent job compared to other actors. The  film is amateurishly shot and even TV serials and documentaries are shot better.  The background score literally gives head-ache.

It is undoubtedly one of the worst films of the year in terms of story and production values. If Katham Katham released in early 70's, it might have been an average venture but now we really feel sorry for the producer.
