Superstar Rajinikanth’s Kabali track list has been revealed by the film’s music composer Santhosh Narayanan. As said earlier, the album will have five songs including a RAP track. Lyricist Kabilan and Uma Devi have penned two songs each in Kabali while Arunraja Kamraj has written the RAP portions. Check out the singers and all the five songs of Kabali as follows…

Rithvika’s character in Kabali will be a surprise!

Generally, Superstar Rajinikanth’s films have strong women characters with negative shades. For example, Vijayashanthi’s character in Mannan and ‘Neelambari’ Ramyakrishnan in Padayappa has given new lease of life for these actresses.

 The latest is that Rithvika’s character in Superstar Rajinikanth’s Kabali will be a surprise that the confrontation scenes between them are said to be the biggest highlight in the film.

 “Superstar was surprised on seeing Rithvika’s performance that he lauded the actress in several scenes”, said a source close to Kabali unit.

Apparently the makers of Kabali haven’t revealed Rithvika’s look in the promotional materials of the film and sources say that they are going to maintain the secrecy till the release.

All is well with Rajinikanth, don’t believe in death hoax!

Today (June 16) morning, a little known Tamil website based in Sri Lanka published a story saying that Superstar Rajinikanth is dead. Soon, the report was shared by the actor’s fans through various social networking platforms but when asked, sources close to the actor have denied it as a mere rumor.

 Talking to a news channel, Rajinikanth’s PRO Riaz said “This is an unnecessary rumor created by few websites, Rajini sir is fine and fans should stay calm”.

Rajinikanth is currently in USA for a brief holiday because doctors have asked him to take rest before joining the next schedule of Shankar’s ‘2.o’.   

“We have requested Rajini sir to tweet on this regard. As there is twelve hours time difference between India and USA, one can expect a tweet by evening”, concluded the actor’s spokesperson.

'Kabali' teaser is a smash hit!

The Neruppuda teaser from Superstar Rajinikanth’s Kabali was unveiled on Thursday evening and within twelve hours, it clocked in more than one million views on You Tube.

The teaser is a smash hit as fans and celebrities in Kollywood raving about Superstar’s swag, style and energetic screen presence. The top notch visual quality capturing Malaysia in a different color tone and Santhosh Narayanan’s adrenaline rushing background score has certainly created huge expectations for the film.

Interestingly Santhosh Narayanan had requested Kabali team to release the teaser after the audio launch.

 The composer reveals the reason behind his request to delay the teaser through his Facebook post : “The kabali song teaser is scheduled to be released tonight. Apart from being immensely honoured to be a part of Kabali and apart from being a great admirer of our superstar, I was blown away by the sheer energy of the teaser. I, along with many other technicians requested this teaser to be released after the audio release as we just could not get our heads out of this brilliantly made video for days. I am sure that we will all celebrate this special day with our beloved superstar”.

Statistical data on the success of Kabali audio

Superstar Rajinikanth’s Kabali is the talk of the town, be it the teaser or songs, everything related to the project is getting rave reception and going by the trend, this film is sure to break many records in Kollywood.

These days, audio industry is said to be bleeding as there is no big revenue in CD sales but the Rajinikanth film has given a new hope for people in the audio business.

On the day of the release, 10,000 CDS of Kabali were sold, which is phenomenal and on the second day, Think Music reordered 5000 CDS and among which, 4000 got sold out.

Under just a week, the lyric videos have received a whopping 10 million (and counting) views on YouTube, which has never been seen before, with the highlight of the album ‘Neruppu Da’, nearing four million views.

Thanu’s unique promotional strategy for 'Kabali'

Kalaipuli S Thanu has decided to uniquely promote Superstar Rajinikanth’s Kabali. Buzz is that big corporate companies including AirAsia, Amazon, Airtel and Cadbury are in talks with the producer for promotional campaigns.

It is said that Kabali merchandise like t-shirts , key chains and Rajinikanth doll will be sold through Amazon.  AirAsia has decided to paint an entire flight with Kabali poster designs in Chennai-Bengaluru route and Airtel has decided to ply mobile vans with Rajinikanth in holographic projection.

To attract the kids’ fans of Rajinikanth, Cadbury India is likely to be partnered with V Creations and promote their popular product ‘Five Star’ as ‘Superstar’s Five Star’.

Other than the above said ideas, regular TV spots and special programs in leading FM and TV channels are also being planned.

Kabali to release at the biggest theatre in Europe

Superstar Rajinikanth’s Kabali is the first Indian film to be premièred at the prestigious ‘Le Grand Rex Cinema’, the biggest theatre in Europe.

The official Twitter handle of Rex Cinemas posted that the grand première will be happening on July 14, which means the producers of Kabali have informed them that the tentative theatrical release date in India is July 15.

Directed by Ranjith, shoot of Kabali has already been wrapped up and currently, the team is busy with the editing and dubbing. Touted to be an action thriller, Rajinikanth will be seen as aged don in the film and Radhika Apte plays his romantic interest.

Ranjith reveals the core plot of 'Kabali'

While interacting with the Telugu media in Hyderabad, Ranjith has revealed the core characterization of Superstar Rajinikanth’s Kabali.   

The director says “Before Independence, British took Indians/Tamils to Malaysia as labourers and they were forced to work in rubber factories. In the film, Rajinikanth plays a revolutionist, who fights against the cruelty shown towards Tamils and becomes a don to save his people”.

Ranjith says that Kabali is not just an action film, it has a lot of emotions. “For me, Mullum Malarum is the best performance of Rajinikanth but he outshined it in Kabali”, concludes the director.

Kabali also has Radhika Apte, Dhanshikaa, Kalaiyarasan, ‘Attakathi’ Dinesh, John Vijay and Kishore in pivotal roles.

Mohanlal secures Kerala distribution rights of 'Kabali'!

Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal has snapped up the Kerala distribution rights of Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth’s gangster flick, Kabali. Trade sources say that Mohanlal and Antony Perumbavoor's Max Lab has locked the deal for a whopping amount, which is said to be the highest figure quoted for any Tamil film.

Produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu, expectations are sky rocketing for the film and the producer is collaborating with corporate companies like AirAsia, Amazon and Cadbury for large scale promotions.

 In Kabali, Superstar Rajinikanth plays a rubber factory worker in Malaysia, who later becomes a gangster to save the Tamil community. Directed by Ranjith, Kabali also has Radhika Apte, Dhanshikaa, Dinesh, Kalaiyarasan and John Vijay in pivotal roles.
