Guess what is common between Kollywood, Republic Day and Independence Day? Undoubtedly Action king Arjun’s Jai Hind! The movie is a regular not just for the storyline, but for oozing patriotism that dwells through the very spirit of the movie itself. Now after twenty years of Jai Hind, Arjun is back to create magic with Jai Hind2 not compromising on social elements and the tricolor patriotism.

The movie will not be an entire sequel as one can imagine but take inspiration from the first part predominantly. Directed by Arjun himself, the film focuses on the India stepping into the world as a Super Power crossing all obstacles as dreamt by none other than one of the finest President of India, honorary Mr. Abdul Kalam. Jai Hind2 has Arjun sporting a physique that he never sported in the past, a six pack and the star is ravishing as he was years ago and shows no glimpses of being a father to AishwaryaArjun who is already in the cine industry.

One of our country’s biggest problems till date is our Education system even though we are a long way from Independence, the right to education is one of the challenging issues that haunt the country, and this is the main theme of Jai Hind2.Arjun is donning the role of a Director, Story writer, actor and this will be a home production for this versatile star.

The movie is also releasing in Kannada as Abhimanyu simultaneously and has an ensemble cast of Arjun, Surveen, Manobala, Brahmanandam, Rahul and many more. Budgeted at 20 crores, the movie has some lavishing sets that make the film closer to reality and one particular Jail set was erected at a cost of 25 lakhs by Art Director Sasidhar which is touted to be the talk of the town.

Music has been composed by ArjunJanya who is known musician in Karnatka industry. Come November7 and it will be interesting to see if Jai Hind2 will emulate its predecessor in every single aspect and leave an impending mark yet again!

Jaihind 2 Music Review

Cast:  Arjun Sarja, Surveen Chawla, Rahul Dev, Charlotte Claire
Director: Arjun Sarja
Production: Arjun Sarja
Music Director: Arjun Sarja
Lyricis: Vairamuthu, Pa.Vijay, Elakkiyan

‘Action King’ Arjun is back to what he is known for; a fierce action entertainer with a social message is on the cards in his upcoming movie ‘Jai Hind 2’. The movie is getting ready as a multilingual and vying for a huge release.  Arjun Janya is an acclaimed composer in Kannada, and this movie might help him to root across the South India. Let’s see what he did in his debut Tamil movie.

Ayya Padichavare -

Gaana Bala, Rajesh Krishnan

Arjun Janya plays safe with the tried and tested beats for a revolutionary number to start the album. The harmonium piece in the prelude is interesting, and picking Gaana Bala to croon the song is a coup de maître. The veena interludes prior to the verses, ‘Veenaya daan vithuputta Saraswathi aatha’ to express the mountain of money required to complete the schooling. Rajesh Krishnan sounds more like the ace singer S.P.B to end the song on a preachy note.

Mazhalai Malaraga -

Ravivarma

A sweet 80 second song, wish it could have been orchestrated bit further. The track goes on to express the lovely nature of a little girl, and Ravivarma delivered it gracefully. The flute part in the background for the major part of the song sounds too good.

Ivan Yaarivan  -

Karthik, Priya

The album heads to a groovy number which is well orchestrated and supremely sung by  the lead singers. Albeit the track highlights the prowess of Priya’s vocals; Karthik stamps his authority the moment he makes his entry. If the director gets the visuals right this song will do many rounds in the music channels.

Adada –

Karthik, Saindhavi

The last song of the album starts off with a soft rock base and slowly takes turns to be a feel good romantic number based on guitar strumming & transfixing violin portions. The idea to keep the drums in the background for a romantic number ain’t a new one, but it sounds refreshing enough to be on a loop for quite some time.

Jaihind2 Movie Review

Director: Arjun
Cast: Arjun, Surveen Chawla
Music: Arjun

Arjun the original action king is back after a long time with Jaihind2. Arjun plays the macho hero and also directs. It follows the regular Arjun template of the 90’s. The trouble with the film is long winded and preachy.

Arjun hits out at the educational system in the country, where private schools flourish, while nobody wants to study in government run schools. A poor labourer sells his kidney so that his daughter can study in an elite school which charges a lakh of rupees as fees including donations!

Arjun’s character Abhinandan is a Karate teacher and a crusader, who becomes a media made super hero when he recommends the takeover of all private schools by the government. He says ‘Right to education’ is a fundamental right. The bad guys are owners of private schools who want to eliminate Arjun using a thug!

To add to the woes of the audiences, the film is a bilingual in Tamil and Telugu. So most of the character artists are from Telugu and dubbing is bad. Brahmanandam one of the greatest comedians is reduced to a buffoon in the comedy track.

The only thing going for the film is Arjun and his action scenes which are very well taken. Manobala, Myilsamy and Surveen have hardly anything to do and songs add to the misery.
