Raajavamsam  Review

Star Cast : Sasikumar, Nikki Galrani, Radha Ravi, Yogi Babu, Sathish, Jayaprakash
Director : Kathirvelu

Debutant director Kathirvelu has tried to deliver a family entertainer on the likes of the recent blockbuster films in Tamil. But if you thought the trend is already over with Annaatthe, Raajavamsam has reiterated it once again because films like Kadai Kutty Singam, Namma Veettu Pillai, and Viswasam have fully utilized the genre and there are only a few things are left to explore. Now, it's time for TV serials to create subplots with the above-mentioned films and create multiple episodes, filmmaker should opt for something new!

Kannan (Sasikumar) works as a team leader in the IT industry, he got two challenges--one is to complete a prestigious project for his company in thirty days and another is that his big family wants him to marry a girl. But the twist here is that the girl, who also works in Sasi's company is in love with another boy. Now, Kannan seeks the help of Gayathri (Nikki Galrani) to act as his lover so that his family will let the other girl marry her lover. Can Kannan pull off these two challenges?

Well, on paper, Raajavamsam's core plot looks decent but the execution is below par from the word go. The film might attract audiences who love serials on Sun TV but for the audiences who seek quality entertainment, Raajavamsam is not your cup of tea.

Sasikumar looks tired and lacks the usual energy. It's time for him to introspect his choice of script and try something different. Nikki Galrani looks beautiful and emotionally scores in a couple of scenes. The film has an ensemble of actors including the veteran Radha Ravi, YogiBabu, Sathish, Vijayakumar, Rekha, Sumithra, Nirosha, Manobala, Raj Kapoor, Singampuli, O. A. K. Sundar, Namo Narayanan, Thambi Ramaiah, Jaya Prakash, and Chaams but they cannot help the film much.

Technically, Sam CS's score is okay and Siddharth Ramasamy's cinematography is just average.

To conclude, Raajavamsam is a film that is catered to family audiences who would love to watch the 80s and 90s family entertainers in theaters.
