1) The inspiration from Stephen Hawking:

Most of us are aware of Surya’s character as Athreya was influenced by Stephen Hawking. Where after Stephen Hawking was diagnosed with ALS he always wished to be back in his old form of life, that showed a commonality in Surya’s role too.

2) Time travel:

24 the movie displays the whole concept of time travel, but twist here when the actual person does not travel physically but his memories only travels either to the past or future. This is the uniqueness in the movie, the junctions in the movie where Mani looses the watch, then Athreya travels back to get it and Sethu looses the watch ,and then Mani travels to get the watch back.

3) Time Freeze:

The interesting angle in the movie when there is a time freeze when the device is activated. An idea initiated in 2002 has now gained inspiration from that co-incidence.

24 has a tight content in it, and has covered various angles of a fiction-ed movie.

24 Hits Huge Collections Over In USA And Canada

Just running for about 2 weeks now, 24 the movie has reached about 10.08 crore Rupees, equivelant to (RM 6022256.94).  Surya carrying 3 characters in the movie, won appreciation and critics from audience. Supporting him both Nithya Menon and Samantha as the female role, gave a different touch to the movie. 24 the current hit!!

Suriya and Rahman celebrate ‘24’ success

Suriya is back from his holiday in US. As soon as the actor reached India, he had arranged for a private success bash for his team at 2D Entertainment for the overwhelming positive reviews and steady box office collections of ‘24’.

Along with Suriya, 24’s director Vikram Kumar and music composer, Rahman too have attended the success party. Meanwhile, our sources say that Suriya will soon begin shooting for the third instalment of Singam franchise, ‘S3’ in Vizag and surrounding locales.

We also hear that S3’s director Hari is planning to shoot crucial scenes of the film in Malaysia and he has already shot a song and few sequences in Romania. Harris Jayaraj is the music composer of S3, which also has two heroines, Anushka Shetty and Shruti Haasan.

Surya's 24 Up For the Next Award

24 one of the biggest hit movie for Surya has been selected for the screening at the 3rd Silk Road Film Festival which will be held in Dublin, Ireland.

The team was surprised when they received a return call from the jury after submission. The first Tamil film to be selected for the "Silk Road Film Festival"
