Title: “Malaysian Mother Theresa”, Mother Mangalam, Honoured By Taylor’s University

A few days ago, Taylor’s University conferred YBhg Datin Paduka Mother A Mangalam—more fondly known as Mother Mangalam—with an Honorary Doctorate in Humanities.

The 92-year-old Singapore-born “Malaysian Mother Teresa” is well known for founding the Pure Life Society, along with her mentor, Swami Satyananda, in 1949.

Many years since then, her dedication to humanitarian works remains, and she has been recognised with multiple awards. Having just completed her doctorate, Mother Mangalam is charging ahead with even more initiatives to help those in need.
