Eeti-Audio review

Cast: Adharvaa,Sri Divya
Music: GV Prakash Kumar
Direction: Ravi Arasu

Album Analysis:

Panjumittai
Singers: Hariharasudhan
‘Panjumittai’ is a rhythm based track accompanied by light instruments instead of the heavy ones one would associate with a track like this. The first interlude has got to be the best portion of the track while the remaining portions are not catchy enough to keep us hooked

Naan Pudicha Mosakuttiye
Singers: GV Prakash Kumar, Shakthisree Gopalan
‘Naan Pudicha’ is the second best track of the album! GV Prakash plays to his strengths and delivers a foot tapping melody. The tune has a ‘heard before’ feel to it but is still very impressive. Shakthisree is at her very best alongside GV’s vocals. The nadhaswaram interludes are catchy and the tune is likeable as well.

Un Swaasam
Singers: GV Prakash Kumar, Maya, MC Vickey
‘Un Swasam’ is straight in GV Prakash’s zone where he eases off with a tune that is so pleasant to listen to. The dynamics has been reduced and more emphasis has been given for sticking onto the rhythm of the track. The string section accompanied with the rap portions by MC Vickey during the interlude is impactful.  Album’s best!

Oru Thuli
Singers: Siddharth Mahadevan
‘Oru Thuli’ goes straight into the ‘motivational’ songs alley. Usually rendered by Shankar Mahadeven, this one has his son Siddharth Mahadevan wielding the microphone. The track’s effectiveness depends on the visuals which would probably be depicting the hero training.

Kuiyyo Muiyyo
Singers: KG Ranjith, GV Prakash,Maalavika, Vandhana
GV Prakash is in full flow in ‘Kuiyyo Muiyyo’ delivering an instantly catchy and peppy tune. Though the addition of dubstep seems forced, this song still stands out as one of the better numbers in the album, thanks to a foot tapping tune.

A Leap of Faith
Instrumental
‘A Leap of Faith’ is a digitized, chilling instrumental which is majorly boosted by synth arrangements. Likely to be played as the Title track, this number sets the tone of the film with all the pulsating arrangements and gothic backgrounds.

After successful albums like Kaaka Muttai, Komban & Trisha Illana Nayanthara, GV delivers yet another album that has few good numbers which will elevate the movie is picturized properly.
