Title: The Stranger Within
Post by: Ragz on November 30, 2017, 07:04:22 AM
Who is this person I see in the mirror? Who is this stranger staring back at me? It is a face too familiar But his eyes, the way they look back at me feel distant There is anger, pain, and confusion written all over him Everything I see in him feels negative He isn’t the face I grew up 27 years seeing He isn’t me.. is he? No it cannot be A truth I refuse to accept Another day comes where I put on a mask The mask I am comfortable with The mask that has become a part of me I close my eyes and say goodbye to the stranger in my reflection As I open my eyes, he is gone Another day, I put him away For the world isn’t ready for him And..neither am I
