5. Temple Of Kom Ombo

The Temple of Kom Ombo overlooks the eastern bank of Nile River in a very close proximity to the community of Kom Ombo. During a tour you will be transported to the first century BC, from where originates the temple. You will also be surrounded by numerous massive columns, an unsurpassed symmetry and complex details. There are only a few carvings and reliefs left, but they are well-preserved and interesting sights to explore. The Temple of Kom Ombo is also a unique temple, because it was dedicated to two gods: Sobek - the crocodile god; and Haroeris - the falcon god. This is also one of the most tempting temples to visit at sunset, because everything is bathed in the golden glow of the sun's rays, while the vibrant surface of the river changes into a giant mirror.

Another place to include in your trip list is an area with the Colossi of Memnon, which is situated in a close proximity to Luxor. 8. Temple of Seti I

Along with these majestic temples of Luxor stand the ruins of the Temple of Seti I. It is the mortuary temple of pharaoh Seti I, who lived in around 1290 BC. The temple itself covers a large area, but presently only a few remains are left. They include tall columns with stone carvings, as well as a couple of buildings that can be barely seen. The rest of the site features courtyards with enclosures, corridor fields, two sphinxes at the main entrance and other impressive sights. Well, the most scenic of them are the reliefs, which are famous for their well-preserved quality.

9. Temple of Hatshepsut

The Temple of Hatshepsut is located also nearby Luxor, as well as just next to the Valley of the Kings. The location of this temple is really unique, because it is actually a part of the massive almost vertical mountains on the west shore of the river. The Temple of Hatshepsut is dedicated to the god of sun Amon-Ra and its exterior is just gigantic. There are three layers of terraces with massive pillars and spacious courts, which are connected via long ramps. While walking along the ramps you will be impressed by the panoramic vistas of the mountain, especially on a clear day. The interior of the temple has lots of secrets to explore as well.
