Inji Idupazhagi- Audio review

Cast: Anushka,Arya,Sonal Chauhan
Music: Maragadha Mani
Direction: Prakash Kovelamudi

Album Analysis:

Inji Idupazhagi
Singers: Neeti Mohan, Noel Sean, Prakash Raj, Rahul
Addictive tune! What works for the song is its theme & main hook line. Neeti Mohan rocks the tune & gives out a neat rendition while Prakash Raj adds the x factor with a surprisingly good rap like rendition. Ticks boxes!

Kannalam
Singers: Damini, Palak Mucchal, Mohana
A marriage track in Tamil after ages! Maragadhamani handles the tune well and it appeals distinctly fresh from such similar predecessors. The choice of singers click big time & the instrumentation is reduced to nadhaswaram, dholaks and other typical ones attributing the local flavour.

Size Sexy
Singers: Ramya NSK
Maragadhamani channelizes his inner DSP in this track and comes up with a Telugu-ish tune. The lyrics do come across as a downer giving us the ‘dubbed’ aura throughout. Watch this with the visuals!

Cycle
Singers: Ranjith, Aditya
Straight out of the ‘motivation track’ template! Going by the lyrics & the theme of the movie, the song would be a montage in all probabilities during the ‘weight shedding’ scenes. Musically, nothing major except the notable EDM backgrounds.

Mella Mella
Singers: Shwetha Pandit
Here comes the album’s best song! ‘Mella Mella’ is a soothing melody that is instantly likeable with very light instrumentation to it. There’s also a reprised version of the same song which works equally efficient.

After the spectacular ‘Baahubali’, Keeravani delivers an album that has few bright spots with his trademark touches. It is that type of album which would work better with the movie.

Inji Iduppazhagi- Releases big in 1500 screens

PVP Cinema’s Inji Iduppazhagi  has been passed by censor board. The film got a U certificate with minor cuts. It is a romantic family entertainer starring Arya and Anushka. Anushka essays the role of Sweety, who goes through a journey of discovery about inner beauty after facing barbs and criticism for her “healthy figure”.

Arya plays the role of a documentary film maker who is a fitness freak. This is a role that is very close to Arya’s heart as he is very particular about fitness in real life also. After enthralling audiences with a blockbuster hit in  Baahubali and a warrior princess in Rudhramadevi, Anushka portrays a totally different and adorable character in  Inji Iduppazhagi her third movie this year

Inji Iduppazhagi and its Telugu version Size Zero is having a  huge release in 1500 screens worldwide, including Tamil Nadu, AP, Telangana, Kerala, Karnataka, North India, USA, Middle East, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, UK, Europe, Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

This is the biggest theatrical release ever for Arya. Sonal Chauhan, Urvashi, Prakash Raj and Master Barath is there in supporting roles.K S Prakash Rao is the director, Music is by Maragadhamani and Nirav Shah is the DOP.

'Inji Iduppazhagi'-Kissing scene trimmed !

PVP Cinemas Anushka Shetty starrer Inji Iduppazhagi has got two censor certificates. Yes, the Tamil version of the film has got ‘U’ certificate with minor cuts while the Telugu version will be releasing with a UA certificate.

Sources say that censor board officials wanted to trim the length of a kissing scene in the film and since, fetching ‘U’ certificate in Tamil would help the team in getting tax exemption from Tamil Nadu government, they have accepted this minor cut.

Whereas in Telugu, there is no such tax waiver and hence, Size Zero (Telugu version) will not have any cut. Produced by PVP cinemas, Inji Iduppazhagi is said to be a meaningful film on current generation's’ obsession in getting into size zero figure.

Along with Arya and Anushka, the film also has cameos galore including Jiiva, Nagarjuna, Bobby Simha, Hansika, Kajal, Tamannaah and Revathy.

Inji Iduppazhagi Review

Director: Prakash Kovelamudi
Cast: Anushka, Arya, Prakash Raj, Urvashi

Inji Iduppazhagi is sure to touch your heart as it is a feel-good, glossy entertainer that is packaged smartly. The real magic of this film lies in the performance and screen presence of Anushka and the actress single handedly steals the show with her endearing expressions and body language. No other actress could play Sweety better than Anushka has.

Soundarya aka sweety (Anushka Shetty) is a carefree working girl, who is a foodie and enjoys her life to the fullest. But her mother (Urvashi) is worried about her obese daughter and all the grooms that she finds reject Sweety as she is fat! Frustrated by all the rejections, Sweety says “No” to Abhi(Arya) who is apparently smitten by her innocence and kindheartedness. Later, Abhi falls in love with a fitness freak and social worker like him, the slim and svelte Simran( Sonal Chauhan).

But slowly somewhere down the lane, Sweety takes a liking for Abhi but is shattered when she realises that he is in love with Simran. Sweety decides to join a slimming centre to lose weight as advised by her mother. What happens then and will the film have a happy ending?

Uninhibited and spontaneous, Anushka is the biggest strength of this film. She not only brings alive her character with those smart lines, but with the kind of candor actors seldom INVEST in their work. It is completely an Anushka show and the rest of the cast other than Urvasi does not match up to her. Prakash Raj's character is another stereotypical one for the veteran actor. Arya has nothing much to do.

Inpite of all this, Inji Iduppazhagi cannot claim to be a perfect film. Lips sync is a big worry and parts of the second half are over-stretched and clunky-especially towards the climax, though the film has a smart running time of two hours. However, these are a few wrong turns in an otherwise entertaining film. Nirav Shah's camerawork is good and he has proved that even South Indian films can look glossy on par with Bollywood.

To conclude, PVP Cinemas Inji Iduppazhagi rests on Anushka's shoulders and she carries it with her Herculean talent. It’s a film bursting with the kind of lovely little moments that will bring a smile to your face.
