Social Work is a profession that offers aid, support and guidance to those requiring a better quality of life. Social work also offers to help development the potential of individuals, social groups or even full communities. The main tasks involved in modern day social work cover a variety of services such as case management, counselling or medical social work, social welfare, community organisation, teaching in schools or human services management. Employment in the social work arena can take the form of non-profit, or profit organisation as well as public social services including hospitals, hospices, community health agencies and schools.

Types of Social Work Careers
