Veteran singer Susheela enters Guinness Book of World Records
Legendary playback singer, P Susheela has been officially certified by Guinness Book of World Records for singing most number of songs in the world.
“Pulapaka Susheela Mohan, India(B. 1935) has reportedly recorded upto 17,695 solo, duet and chorus-backed songs in over six Indian languages since the 1960s”, read the Guinness certificate, which was given to the veteran singer.
P Susheela has won five National Awards and she has sung in several Indian languages including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, Bengali, Oriya, Sanskrit, Tulu and Badaga.
Among the 17,695 songs, Susheela has crooned 1,336 duet songs with legendary singer, SP Balasubrahmanyam.
