2. Bodiam Castle

In southeastern England you can come across another spectacular accent to the most interesting castles on the island. It comes to Bodiam Castle, which was built at the end of the Middle Ages and it is situated within the green plains and lush forests of East Sussex. This castle is completely isolated from the highly-urban areas, indeed, there are only a couple of small villages that are adjacent to the castle, where you can find lots of options to stay and dine. In addition, the castle is even more isolated from its surrounding areas, because it is surrounded by a squared pond. Through a narrow bridge you can get to the entrance of the castle, but this yet short walkway will be transformed into a long and slow trip. Just because you will be seduced to take a photo after a photo of the towers of the castle, their reflections on the calm water of the pond, the green scenery... Imagine this ambiance in the early morning, when the walls of the castle are bathed in the golden glow of the sunrise.
