2. Port Vieux
 


Only a few streets distance from the basilica of Notre-Dame de la Garde is situated another major attraction to visit - Port Vieux. This is the Old Port of Marseille, which originates from 6th century BC and, nowadays, it is the largest marina in Marseille. 3. Porte d'Aix
 


Also a few streets distance, but on the opposite side of Port Vieux, you can come across the Porte d'Aix. This triumphal arch was built in 1839 as a main gate to the city and, presently, it is definitely one of the most impressive historical sites in Marseille. 4. Parc Borely
 


Parc Borely is one of the best places in southern Marseille to enjoy a relaxing afternoon, for example. 6. Cantini Fountain

8. Palais Longchamp

9. Chateau d'If
