2. Belvedere Palace
 


The Belvedere Palace is another important palace to visit during your trip in Vienna. This is a smaller, but also impressive palace complex, which features two incredible palaces - the Upper Belvedere Palace, which is bigger, and the Lower Belvedere Palace. 3. Kunsthistorisches Museum
 


Another great place to take advantage of numerous artworks is the Kunsthistorisches Museum. This is a huge museum of art history and consists of two huge and common buildings, which are situated on the both sides of the Maria-Theresien-Platz in Downtown Vienna. 4. Rathaus
 


The immense Rathaus building is the Vienna's city hall, which will captivate you through its incredible Gothic design. The main facade features numerous arcades with columns. Rathaus is dominated by four tall towers and a huge clock tower between them, which is the highest spot of the building. Make sure to take a few pictures during the night, when the night lights of the building are inspiring, especially during the winter months when everything is covered by snow. 5. Prater



One of the most quintessential places to visit when you want to enjoy numerous amusements is the Prater. This is a huge entertainment complex, which offers plenty of amusements for kids and adults alike. One of the best ways to enjoy a panoramic view of the cityscape is from atop the giant old Ferris wheel in the Prater. 6. Danube Island
 


Danube Island is one of the greenest areas in Vienna. This island is surrounded by the blue waters of the Danube River and is most famous as a major recreational park, dotted by a number of forests, gardens, trails, restaurants, bars and other eateries. 7. St. Stephens Cathedral

8. Donauturm
 


If you want to capture some panoramic photos of Vienna, the Donauturm is arguably the best choice. This communication tower is the tallest free-standing structure in the country and might be easily transformed into the highest place in your vacation.
